Trainee Catering – London & Home Counties
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for x3 Trainee Catering Engineers both inside and outside the M25.
Prospective candidates would ideally have some background in plumbing or electrical maintenance / installation; however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Desirable experience / skills
- Electrical Engineering background or relevant qualification i.e. City & Guilds – NVQ or equivalent
- Previous Field Service Experience
- Experience in Repairing or Installing any ware washing, white goods or other electrical appliances
- Good people/customer service skills
- Flexible approach to working hours and days
- Have good problem-solving acumen
- Be prepared to learn and develop new skills.
- Full UK driving licence (However, not essential)
Responsibilities
- Install, Maintain and Repair high end Catering/Kitchen appliances
- Develop your electrical fault-finding skills on single & 3-phase appliances
- Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation
- Complete job sheets at the end of each job, accurately and on time
The right attitude is equally as important as experience when considering a trainee position, the ideal candidate must be willing to learn and develop skills which will set them up for a great career in the foodservice industry.
Company vehicle will be provided (or Oyster card in the absence of driving license) Phone, tablet, Uniform, PPE etc all provided by the employer. 40hrs per week. Paid door to door. Overtime paid at x 1.5.
Salaries will vary dependant on previous experience between £18k – £30k basic salary (excluding overtime).
*Future prospects include gaining commercial gas qualifications and being cross trained as a refrigeration engineer.
